~ MEMBERSHIP COSTS ~
Membership for 2022 is $20.00. Membership fees paid during Term 4, 2022 will be carried over to 2023.
~ CLASSES & COURSES COSTS ~
Classes are $20.00 per unit. Different classes have different numbers of units per year and Courses are $2.00 per week. There may be extra costs for venue and/or materials for some classes and courses. Members to provide their own stationery and other materials as needed. Classes at the pool also incur admission charges.
Weekly Classes – 1 Unit per Term (4 Units per year) ($2.00 for extra sessions)
Fortnightly Classes – 1 Unit per Semester (2 Units per year) ($2.00 for extra sessions)
Monthly Classes – 1 Unit per Year ($2.00 for extra sessions)
Courses for 5 weeks – $10.00 per course ($2.00 for extra sessions)
Ad Hoc Activities – Some activities charge $2.00 per session, rather than per Unit.
~ SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COSTS ~
The cost of Social Activities varies. Some are either free or at a commercial venue where you can decide how much to spend. Other Activities carry a cost which is advised well ahead of time.
~ MAKING PAYMENTS ~
As we don’t have a permanent office, you can’t just drop in and pay for membership and/or classes fees. There are a number of alternatives available, however.
Open Day – in mid January each year we have an Open Day, showcasing our activities and classes for the coming year. You can speak to our Class Coordinator, several of our Tutors and various Committee members. You can also make payments for membership and classes.
Classes – you can pay for membership and classes in the first or second lesson of each unit. A committee member will drop in with a receipt book to collect any payments.
Sign-On Days – will be held in the week preceding the start of Terms 2, 3 & 4. Details to be provided by email, our Website and Facebook.
Displays – from time to time throughout the year we have staffed displays, usually in conjunction with a community event. There is always someone available to whom you can pay your money.
Social Activities – every Tuesday during each term, we meet for lunch at venues that are listed in our monthly class & activity schedule. Prospective members often use this function as a chance to find out more about us.
Bendigo Bank – you can pay money directly into our account, either in person over the counter as a Cash Deposit or by Direct Deposit online. Please put your initial and surname in the “description” space of the deposit. Make sure you have a copy of your receipt to attach to your Membership & Enrolment Form for our records. You can always email a photo or scanned copy to our Treasurer – firstname.lastname@example.org.

~ PUBLICATIONS ~
U3A Gympie publishes a monthly Newsletter with reports, class news, social activities and other items of interest. A copy is emailed to all members whose email address we have. There is also a link to recent Newsletters in the PDF Documents list in the sidebar on this website.
We also publish a Class and Activities Schedule at the start of each term, also emailed to members. There is also a link to the current Schedule in the PDF Documents list in the sidebar.
~ CUT OFF DATES ~
Newsletter – General items should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than the 28th of the preceding month.
Term Schedule – Changes or additions should be emailed to email@example.com no later than the end of the preceding term.
Website – Anything for the website should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Monday each week of term.
Agenda – All agenda items should be emailed to email@example.com no later than the preceding Thursday. This also applies to written reports.
Publicity – Anything to be publicised should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org as far ahead of time as possible, with a minimum of one month’s advance notice.
